Krishna Valley is a community operating according to religious and ecological principles. Our guesthouses are primarily intended for spiritual retreat, inner renewal, and peaceful rest.
During your stay, please respect the values of the community and the following house rules.
Core Principles in Krishna Valley
The guesthouses were established for spiritual seekers. Therefore, we kindly ask all guests to follow these principles while staying with us.
It is strictly prohibited in the guesthouses, on their premises, and throughout the entire territory of Krishna Valley to:
- consume or store meat, fish, or eggs
- smoke, consume alcohol or drugs, or use caffeinated beverages (coffee, black or green tea). Herbal and fruit teas, as well as chicory and grain-based coffee substitutes, are permitted
- engage in gambling (both online and offline)
- engage in sexual activity
All guests are requested to wear modest, full-body-covering clothing (tops covering shoulders and abdomen, long skirts or trousers).
Check-in and Check-out
Rooms are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, please vacate the room by 11:00.
Check-in is handled online.
On-site reception is available only by prior arrangement; however, we provide 24-hour telephone assistance.
Luggage may be stored earlier upon prior arrangement.
Room Keys
Room keys can be collected from the key safe next to your room door. The code will be sent by email before arrival.
Upon departure, please return the keys to the key safe after locking your room.
If you forget to return the keys at check-out, please contact reception to arrange further steps.
Lost key replacement fee: 10,000 HUF
Lock replacement due to damage: 30,000 HUF
Cleaning
Rooms are cleaned and fresh bed linen provided after every departure.
For longer stays, cleaning and linen/towel replacement are provided once per week.
Booking, Prices, and Payment Information
Children under 6 stay free of charge if sleeping in the same bed as their parents (no extra bed).
Children aged 6–18 pay full price.
Only persons aged 18 or older may make a booking. Guests must be at least 16 years old to stay alone without supervision.
Prices include VAT and tourist tax. In multi-bed rooms and camping, prices are per person per night. For other room types, prices are per room per night.
There are four types of booking and payment options:
- Online booking with PayPal
- Online booking with credit card (SimplePay)
- Online booking via bank transfer
- Online booking via SZÉP Card transfer
Payment Deadlines
- For bookings made more than 7 days before arrival: payment must be completed within one week of booking; otherwise, the booking becomes invalid. We reserve the right to cancel unpaid bookings.
- For bookings made within 7 days prior to arrival: The payment must be completed by 4:00 PM on the day following the booking, and a transaction confirmation of the payment must be sent at the same time.
Cancellation, Modification, Refund, and No-Show
- Free cancellation is possible up to 7 days before the arrival date. In this case, 100% of the paid amount will be refunded.
- Cancellations within 7 days before arrival are non-refundable.
- If booking is made within 7 days of arrival, cancellation is not possible, and the full amount will be charged as a penalty.
No refund is provided in case of early departure.
Termination Policy
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to suspend the stay of any guest who violates the house rules or engages in behavior that endangers or disturbs others. (Please note that violation of our no-smoking policy also results in termination of accommodation.) In such cases, all outstanding balances must be settled, and no refund will be issued.
Maximum Occupancy
The maximum occupancy of the booked room type must not be exceeded.
Rooms cannot accommodate extra beds. However, in single rooms at Kamala Kutír and Elephant Guesthouse, the bed can be extended for double occupancy.
Maximum capacities by room type:
- Single room
1 adult - Double room
2 adults, or
1 adult + 1 child (under 18) - Triple room
3 adults, or
2 adults + 1 child (under 18), or
1 adult + 2 children (under 18)
- Multi-bed rooms
1 adult, or
1 child with an accompanying adult in the same room - Small tent
2 adults, or
1 adult + 1 child (under 18) - Large tent
4 adults, or
3 adults + 1 child (under 18), or
2 adults + 2 children (under 18), or
1 adult + 3 children (under 18)
Room Use
The use of flammable materials (such as heating devices, cooking equipment, candles, etc.) is prohibited in the guest rooms and corridors.
Cooking, consuming outside food, and storing food in rooms is not permitted.
Guests of Kamala and Elephant Guesthouses may use the kitchenette. Dinner provided may be consumed there, and permitted food items may be stored in the refrigerator.
Guests of Gurudeva Bhavan do not have access to a kitchenette; dinner may be consumed in the room or on the terrace in good weather.
Rooms may not be used for business or purposes unrelated to accommodation.
Toilet Use
Please do not dispose of anything other than toilet paper in the toilet (cotton, tampons, sanitary pads, wet wipes, etc.), as blockages may result in additional charges. Damage costs may be charged on-site or invoiced after departure.
Security
The guesthouse is not responsible for lost items. Always lock your room and your car.
Although management takes responsible steps to ensure safety, ultimate responsibility lies with guests.
Bringing dangerous or hazardous items into the guesthouses is prohibited.
Causing damage to guesthouse property is strictly forbidden. In such cases, we reserve the right to suspend the accommodation booking.
Reasonable repair, cleaning, or replacement costs may be charged on-site or invoiced after departure.
Please report any damage immediately.
Quiet Hours and Mutual Respect
Televisions and radios are not permitted.
Making excessive noise or disturbing other guests is not permitted, either inside the guesthouses or in their immediate surroundings (including the courtyard and the area in front of the building).
Musical instruments may only be used at a volume that does not disturb others.
If we receive a complaint, we are obliged to warn the guests concerned. Further complaints may affect the length of the stay. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if a guest proves to be disruptive or unpleasant toward others or the management. Please respect the guesthouses and their residents!
Parking
Parking is free of charge. For the guesthouses, parking is available as follows:
- Gurudeva Bhavan guests: park at Gauranga Square. Loading/unloading next to the building is permitted for a maximum of 20 minutes.
- Kamala Guesthouse guests: in the courtyard.
- Elephant Guesthouse guests: park beside the building.
Do not leave valuables in your car. We are not responsible for loss or theft.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the guesthouses or anywhere in Krishna Valley.
Assistance dogs accompanying persons with disabilities and holding valid certification are permitted on the premises of the guesthouse. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept therapy dogs. Assistance dogs may be brought free of charge. Please inform the receptionist in advance if you plan to bring such a dog with you. Click on the “Contact” button in the top menu and write to us through the form.
With an assistance dog, access is permitted throughout the territory of Krishna Valley, except for the sanctuary, the cow barn, and the garden areas.
Please do not feed the cats living in Krishna Valley.
Internet
Free WiFi is available in all guesthouses. Camping guests may use the Kamala terrace for internet access.
Do not use internet services for illegal activities.
If WiFi is unavailable for any reason, we will make every effort to restore the service as quickly as possible.
We are not responsible for any loss resulting from WiFi interruption.
Liability and Rule Violations
We do not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from a breach of the terms and conditions we have established, failure to comply with the rules, or negligence.
We are also not liable for any loss that was not foreseeable by both parties at the time the booking contract was concluded. A loss is considered foreseeable if it is obvious that it would occur, or if, at the time of booking, both you and we were aware of the possibility of such damage — for example, if it was discussed during the booking process.
We do not accept responsibility for minors left unsupervised.
We aim to provide a safe and secure environment for relaxation and, where necessary, we take appropriate safety measures.
If theft, damage, or loss of your personal property occurs during your stay, we will initiate an internal investigation.
If we determine that the incident (theft, damage, or loss) did not occur due to our fault, our employees and staff cannot be held responsible for the matter.
Your Obligations
You are responsible for any damage or loss caused by your actions or negligence.
By making a booking, you agree that we may claim compensation from you, including a reasonable amount to cover damages or costs resulting from your actions.
This does not apply to normal depreciation or natural wear and tear arising from the ordinary use of items.
Please report any accidents or incidents involving material damage.
Force Majeure
The guesthouses of Vénu Kft. cannot be held liable if any of the following events or circumstances prevent the guesthouse from fulfilling its obligations toward guests.
However, the guesthouse will take the necessary steps to minimize the problems and any inconvenience to guests in the following cases:
- Unexpected interruption of electricity, water, internet, or sewage services
- Fire, frost, flood, wind, or other natural causes
Environmental Protection
Krishna Valley and Vénu Ltd. are committed to protecting natural resources. We encourage guests to:
- turn off lights after use
- conserve water
- separate waste
- use only necessary amounts of paper
