Elephant En-Suite Double Room

The price shown here includes a free breakfast and an entrance ticket to Krishna Valley, but it is shown as a net price without VAT and IFA. After booking, you will see the gross price plus taxes and fees.

The room:
The double rooms have private bathrooms. There are five such rooms in the Elefántos Guesthouse.

The rooms are furnished with two comfortable single beds, a small table with two chairs, and a hanging rack with shelves, providing practical storage space. A pitcher of fresh water and glasses await guests on the table to refresh them after a long day. The intimate atmosphere is enhanced by a small table lamp and a colorful, tasteful flower arrangement. A small lamp on the bedside table next to the bed helps you find your way around at night, ensuring maximum comfort.

Although there is no air conditioning in the room, a fan provides a pleasant cooling breeze in the summer heat. The windows offer a view of the garden and Krishna Valley, so guests can enjoy the beauty of the landscape from the room. A blackout curtain keeps the light out when you need to rest. The room is heated by a radiator, and the floor is covered with parquet.

Bathroom:
Each room has its own private bathroom, ensuring privacy for our guests. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cabin, a small washbasin with mirror, and a toilet.

Elephant Guesthouse:
The guesthouse is a unique, polygonal, irregularly shaped flat-roofed building, surrounded by lush green shrubs and trees, creating a peaceful, nature-filled atmosphere.

There is also a small kitchenette where guests can prepare their drinks or heat up their meals. You can enjoy the prepared delicacies at a small table. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a small cupboard, a shelf with books and a wall clock. A microwave, kettle and kitchenware are provided for guests’ convenience. And you will even find tea bags, sugar and salt in the kitchen.

There are two rooms off the kitchen, three more off the hallway, and the last room can be accessed from the outside. We can comfortably place our shoes on the shoe rack next to the door, as it is required to remain inside the house without wearing outdoor shoes.

Behind and in front of the house there is a cosy little garden with tables and chairs for those who want to relax or unwind in the open air.

Surroundings, neighbourhood:
This guesthouse is located just 130 metres past the entrance of Krisna-völgy, in a picturesque setting. Not far from the house, the Yamuna River flows, highlighting the idyllic beauty of the countryside. Srila Prabhupada’s memorial is also nearby.

Although the property does not have an established electrical network, the guest house has a reliable power supply. Since there is no public lighting anywhere inside Krishna Valley, it is worth bringing a flashlight with you for your after dark walks.

In Somogyvámos, opposite Kamala Bhavan, there is a small local grocery shop (ABC) offering a wide selection of vegetarian food. Gluten-free products are also available in the shop as well as vegetarian options.

Distance:
The temple is only 1,400 metres away, which means approximately an 18-minute walk along the paved road winding through the picturesque natural surroundings of Krisna-völgy. Of course, for those who do not want to walk, it is also possible to drive slowly to the parking lot in front of the temple.

Dining:
You can eat your ordered meal at the Govinda restaurant located inside Krishna Valley. The restaurant is located in the temple building, if you are facing it, you will find it on the right side.

Meals usually include hot or cold dishes depending on the season. All food served is vegetarian and the milk provided is ahimsa milk (non-violent) given by the farm’s cows. The vegetables used come to the kitchen fresh, straight from the Krishna Valley gardens.
